After a drunken night of Shaderocking (see http://www.shaderock.com) in the great city of Philadelphia, a few band members, a few fans, a few friends, and myself decided to try getting our drink on at the Bar Noir immediately under Liquid.
The place was alright. Think Bourgeoise with a twist of Hip Hop Flava. At first I thought our dates had led us to a gay bar, but as it turned out the bar tender just preferred to be shirtless, even if no one else preferred him that way.
On the way back from the Bar Noir, we crossed lights, and rigs, and other film related things, which started my buddies going on about Jersey Girl. But I knew they hadn't started yet. But across the street from us stood David Morse. The man who played the guard "Brutal" in "The Green Mile" and Jamie Foxx's government tormentor in "Bait", as well as a bunch of other films. If you've seen a movie in the past twenty years and thought it was William Katt you were probably watching David Morse, but I digress.
Eitherway, I promptly identified him to my friend as William Morse, to which we received one of the sourest looks ever given to man outside of a molestation trial. Feeding off his fury, I took the liberty of pissing him off even more by describing his show as "Batman in a Cab".
I don't take credit for being a dick, and I'm truly sorry I boned his name, but the guy wanted to kill me. Someone sent a PA off after us for no reason, as we were out of the shot and the second team was coming in.
Oh well, at least the JG set is much friendlier than a television show that will be cancelled after three viewings at best.
I'd like to hear what the Philadelphia INquirer has to say about THAT little gem filming in their city.
