I also think there is very much of it that actually lends itself to film. The only thing that I didn't like about the book was it certainly seemed that instead of solving the crime/investigation everything pretty much just kind of fell into place for young I.M. Fletcher.
Now I have to go back and read it again to be sure. Damn.
