The point is that not all kids have great parents, some are stuck with the shitty ones. So who do those kids look up to instead? Actors, musicians, athletes. People who have lived like them and have rised above it all.
If Eminem is going to be seen as a role-model to the kids with shitty parents, he should set a better example by not writing so much offensive music and coming off as cocky in the public. That's providing the media with more ammo. I'm sure he doesn't care what the media would say about him, but his fans are going to be given the wrong idea, that being mean and violent is acceptable.
