Yes. It's become this very negative term, which I don't think is justified. I have mostly liberal standpoints (except with capital punishment- I say fry 'em), but I wouldn't say, "oh he's such a conSERvaTIVVVVVVE" when trying to insult someone.
I do wish that people would look more into the issues and vote based on them, the past voting history of the candidate, etc. instead of voting based on the political party label they have stamped next to their name.

Gotta agree with ya there too. There are some real extreemists that do nothing but frighten me.
How is Barron, Baron, Berron or Beron doing? I can't remember how his name is spelled and I'm too lazy to go look. ;)
