question for anyone who saw 8mile (spoiler)

first of all, i liked it, didnt think it was great, but entertaining. it seemed sorta slight. i dunno just wasnt that engaging, cept for the great ending. and it just ended abrptly. and britney murphy was quite hot in her role. anyway, i was curioius if the sound problems i had were just theater problems, or if it was a problem with the sound recording. in my theater, the sound wasnt great, but it was god awful whenever there was dialouge and music playing at the same time. i honestly needed subtitles.the music totally drowned out what they were saying. the worst scene for me was when they went to that tiki lounge. did you get this problem as well?

also, due to the problems i had with sound, i missed the entire reason of why they burnt the house down.so why did they?
