: : Who else out there thinks that George Carlin is the best stand-up comedian today? I don't agree with every thing that George says and does, but I admire him for his honesty. This guy just doesn't care. He says things from the heart and he is so dead-on. He's also one of the rare comedians who can be vulgar and funny. Most comedians, particularly black stand-up comedians, think that usage of the word, "fuck", and simulating sex onstage is funny. It's not. It may get you a job on the UPN, but it does not a comedy legend make.
Eddie Griffin is okay, but his contemporaries never will be able to match the comic genius of Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock. Chris Rock is #2 behind Carlin IMHO.
