ok, i dont get scared easy by movies. all the 'horror' movies that have come out in the past ive pretty fallen asleep to or knew what the ending was (6th sense, the others). this one i couldnt figure out and i think thats what freaked me out and kept me interested. after they 'freed' her from the well and the movie didnt end, i (obviously) knew more people would be killed. like i said before, when she came out of the tv, i think that freaked me out most of all. (personal reason...too stupid of an answer to ask). i think the way it was filmed (how she was moving backwards) and the flashes of images of the dead niece and boyfriend/x.
i went in there prepared to be scared (another friend of mine saw it and is still having nightmares) and told me he was freaked. i didnt know what to expect. i didnt cry on the way home BUT i was shaken. we (my man and i) didnt get to sleep till 2. me cause i was freaked...him....he was just pissed about his apartment. (what also added to the freakyness of it was 1. when we got to his apartment the door to the stairs that leads to his apartment opened then closed like someone was walking in. and 2. the other night i had a nightmare about ghosts and woke up with a start. when i woke up he did too and said as he pulled the covers over himself 'whats the matter? the ghosts dont like my ass?' of course he doesnt remember saying that...).
i dont think the way your friends acted was wrong or the way you did was wrong. different things scare different people. i def think not seeing what the other person was seeing (just before they died) and seeing the mystery unravel but not fully scared me. it left a lot of open questions which is good and bad. but supposidely theres a prequel and a sequel.
ive rambled long enough!!
: I saw it with several friends. One of the girls cried on the way home
: and the other one had seen it before. After she saw it the first time
: she slept in her little sisters bed with her for 2 or 3 nights. After the
: second time she slept on her own, but only because I pointed out it
: makes no sense to sleep with a little girl after seeing a movie about
: an evil little girl. She slept alone, but not well.
: Are these reactions common, or do I have easisly susceptible
: friends?
