: : : You're a schmuck to compare your situation (being rightly ridiculed for making NUMEROUS childish and idiotic statements) to the tragedy that was 9/11.

: : Wrong

: Why? Am I not, as an American (like yourself), entitled to speak my mind? We don't agree with each other: that's obivious. But please, consider this: the fact is, 9/11 is NOT equitable to an Internet post board, and you should know that.
: :
: : : I personally am sick of hearing about the events of 9/11.

: : You should be very proud of that statement

: I am. While those words might sound harsh, I didn't mean it in that way. What I was referring to is the commercialization of 9/11 that has become so prevalent. The media turned 9/11 into something that could be marketed in the form of bumper stickers, flags, t-shirts, and slogans that promote war. I was speaking against 9/11 being used for someone's personal gain, which is what most of the people on this board think you have done.

: I am proud of the fact that I can make that statement. Again, that's a privilege that we Americans have in our lives. I don't want to fight with anyone over this anymore, so this will be the last post I make on this topic.

: However, before you think you've "won" this argument, just realize that so far, you've shown yourself to be fairly close-minded and stubborn. This country is a place where diversity and original thought is encouraged, and you shouldn't be surprised if you run into people who will not hang on your every word as if you were a god.

: Think about what happened during 9/11. You talked about people clingin to each other for support. Don't look at this as people hating you, as you have done so far, I (and I think most of the other posters here) really don't understand what you're trying to say. Maybe you've got a really good point, but no one will take you seriously if you try to preach love and then practice hate.

: Whether or not you hate me or even don't like me, I wish you no ill will, and I hope to see you again on the board.

: Take it easy.
