: The U.S. is not under the control of a ruthless dictator who has his opponents killed & who used gas on his own people - killing innocent women & children.
: Our leader is not one linked to terrorist organizations either.
Bush isn't exactly a great leader either, he's as much a warhawk as Saddam (prehaps more since he has the U.S. military might backing him). Plus, he and his VP are felons and his attorney general is a Xian extremist. Texas has put how many people to death in the last decade? Almost undoubtedly some of them were innocent. The corporations that Bush & Co. pander to commit more terrifying acts than any al-Queda or Hizbullah (why don't we ever hear about them??) sect. For instance, the policy of subsidizing U.S. farms absolutely destroys the agricultural systems of smaller countries; imported extremely cheap foodstuffs (paid for by your tax dollars) undercut the prices of domestic farms and thus force them out of business. The World Bank then comes in and gives the poor nation loans to build a new infrastructure. The fact not mentioned is accepting those loans requires allowing multinational corporations to come in wielding their dollars as they please (including paying pennies per manhour's work) and exporting the goods to the rich U.S., all the while the CEOs are getting massive salaries while the poor nation remains poor. What FURTHER does not help is the privatization of utilities which results in water becoming a significant commodity and only those who can pay outrageous sums of money (obviously not the typical worker) can have clean water.
Americans live the good life. Too bad very few people know why or how.
