Are you looking forward to THE LORD OF THE RINGS? What's that you say? You've seen it? Oh, I'm sorry, I was talking about The Two Towers. You know, the sequel to The Fellowship of the Ring? 'Round here they're often called TTT and FotR, for simplicity sake.
See, when there are more than one movie in with the same title (often they are sequals), and different subtitles, they often go by the subtitle or numeral that they are.
For instance, when I say STAR WARS, that could be five movies, luckily for all of us, they are subtitled: A New Hope (often called STAR WARS for the sake of being the first one), The Empire Strikes Back (ESB or "Empire" for reference sake), The Return of the Jedi (RotJ or "Jedi"), The Phantom Menace (PM, Episode I, or "Christ Lucas, what were you thinking?" depending on who you talk to) and Attack of the Clones (AotC, Episode II, "Shithole", or "Lucas, we'll give you more money NOT to make the next one", again, depending on who you talk to).
