The Jersey Trilogy basically refers to the films depicting regular 20-something characters in & around northern Jersey.

Dogma mainly takes place in IL & places to NJ and has a plot of fantasy.

J&SBSB is a (somewhat far-fetched) road-trip movie which lands them in CA. It was done as fun.

The latter movies are not in the same vein as the original 3.
