I have always had a special place in my heart for "Cheech & Chong's Next Movie" because the first Rated R movies my mom ever took me to when I was 13 were a double feature of "The Blues Brothers" and "C&CNM". But, having said that, I can still look back objectively and say that "Up In Smoke" is a little bit better movie.
But, I'm going to reminisce a little about "Next Movie" right now. I love the opening scene where they're carrying the garbage can down the street to fill it up with gas. "Be cool, man! I'm cool, you be cool! I'm cool, you just be cool!" Other favorite moments:
"I just sold two lids last week, how 'bout that?" "Oh yeah? Who'd you sell 'em to?" "Me!" "Oh, man! Shit, we're gonna starve to death!" "No, not with me man. I'm a good customer!"
And the scene where Cheech snorts the soap and drinks the pee is classic.
But, I do like Curtis in UIS. "I got this stuff from them Arabs from Turkey, boy, this'll boogie woogie on your brain!"
