You sound like one of those 40-something critics who think they know everything about music because they work for corporate rock zine Rolling Stone. Actually I don't know what that just meant, so ignore that.
What I'm trying to say is that that stigma STP has is basically a cliche that has been haunting them since their single "Plush" was released.
STP has NEVER sounded like Pearl Jam. I've been listening to them since "Sex Type Thing" hit the airwaves & I've never heard any song of theirs sound like one of Pearl Jam's.
Seriously, does "Sex Type Thing" sound anything like Pearl Jam? How about "Down"? "Vasoline"? For argument's sake, maybe "Plush" does, but STP's sound is way more agressive & crisper(?) sounding than Pearl Jam.
This STP = Pearl Jam crap is an unfounded statement.
David Spade rules though.
