Damn AOL instant messager to hell!

Some asshole I dont even know warned me to 5% and i logged off. I have been trying to log back on for the past 4 hours in half-hour increments and every time it says that the rate limit was reached while trying to log in. Help says that I simply need to wait a few minutes. 30 minutes? for 5%? give me a fucking break. anybody know what to do?
