Kevin Smith (or anyone else from your cool posse) -
I figured it'd be worth a shot to ask...
Would you be interested in speaking at a high school graduation in June? Speaking as Class President on behalf of my senior class, we don't want to hear a trite, cliche speech made by some political figurehead or, if not that, some random, obscure, intellectual snob. Our class is characterized as being much funnier, and much more laid-back than that. Plus, we want someone to tell us about what it means to pursue your passions, live the dream, be creative, get a career that makes you happy - all that corny stuff that teaches surprisingly true and valuable lessons.
We're located in the suburbs of Maryland, about 30 miles NW of DC. And, hell, if it matters to you, we actually DO pay the commencement speakers (a whopping $600, or thereabouts), or travel accomadations if you need it.
So think about it...
And please post a message in reply - either with a big "REJECTION" or, more constructively, with suggestions on how to get in contact with Bill Murray (cuz he's our second choice.)
I'm being dead serious.
Sincerely,
Erica (Senior Class President, Watkins Mill High School)
