I'm not a real big Batman fan, I actually just started reading it at #608 because it was by Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb (#609 comes out tomorrow). I'm also readin Batman Family, it's an 8-issue mini that comes out weekly (issue #5 is out tomorrow).
Go for the Spider-Man/Black Cat mini by Kevin Smith, it's great. I recommend grabbing the Ultimate Spider-Man trade paperbacks too, they're a great read.
I'm a fan of the book The Ultimates as well, it comes out late all the time, but it's one of the best titles out there today. What you can do is what I did when I decided to get back into comics, go to the publishers websites and read all the previews for the upcomming titles or juszt go to a comic shop and ask the guy behind the counter "what's good?" They read everything that comes into the store, so they can help you more than anybody else.
: You know what, I'm new to the comic scene, so I bought 4 Batman (my fav hero) comics yesterday: Batman #607 & #608 and Detective Comics #774 & #775. And you what? It really sucks to come right into the middle of things. Like who are Deadshot and Cain? They seem to be mad at each other and Batman is protecting Cain. I also read another Batman, but I haven't read the other 2 yet. Which Spider-Man comic is the best to get? So I pick up anything else while I'm at it?
