Almost any ferret you buy will be descented and neutered. It's pretty much essential to have done because otherwise they smell too strong, and for females it can be fatal (females have an extended period of time in which they are in heat, and if they aren't mated quickly when they go into heat, they can develop an infection and die as a result).
