Is he technically proficient? Yes, almost inhumanly good.
However, is he a songwriter capable of creating music on par with what Slash and Axl did together? No. HELL NO.

Slash is an amazing player. Amazing with a capital 'amaze.' To think that any band (GNR or not) would be better off without him is just insane.
