DANCER IN THE DARK really used digital well, too.

CHCUK & BUCK I love IN SPITE of it having been shot in digital. There's no reason that movie couldn't have been shot on film. It's set up and "filmed" like a standard movie, and they had the budget to shoot film, but they shot on video for some reason (probably to be more "indie"). I love the movie, but when I saw it theatrically it looked like shit and unlike DANCER IN THE DARK- which wouldn't have been the same film had it not been shot on digital- it didn't use digital well at all, it made a futile effort to make it look like a "normal" movie and failed.
