I did overreact and in turn made the same mistake. Like I said before I feel strongly about someone making light of someone losing a loved one.
Should I have said what I said. Yes. Should I have said it the way I said it. No.
That being said. Me chastizing him and wishing the same on him isn't even in the same ballpark as what he said. What I said was all hypothetical. He flat out cracked a joke at the expense of the guy with a newly deceased mother. If you don't see that then you have blinders on. I think you found what he said humerous and felt the need to bash me for taking him to task. So be it. Since when is it a bad thing to have morals and feel compassion for someone losing a loved one?
