Okay, the TAC was started NOT as a joke, but as a site in which posters had a chance at a weekly column, etc, etc, you’ve heard it all before. The Name, ‘The Askew Crapper’ was a tentative name, and WAS a joke. I guess it sort-of stuck with us, and we never came about to change it. I agree, the name should have never come to be.
What I don’t get Mike:
1) Why would we not want to draw readers in? Isn’t that why we would write in the first place? So people can see what we have created…to offer criticisms, and their thoughts on the content of what we have written. (Thus the forum for feedback) Also, TAC is a form of entertainment for some; the in-jokes are part of that…though I personally don’t like them too much either.
2) Why are you throwing your titled “Golden Ticket Theorem” into this? Why would we not want to be professional? So people think the site is a waste of space, and no one sees what has been written in the columns/strips/etc.? Adding to this idea of professionalism, I don’t think anybody who writes for TAC really thinks there will be Poopshoot deals for them based solely on what they write there. C’mon, I hardly even thought anybody from VA would even glance at the site, and they have. But That’s why they would write for us…or send there comics to us…or whatever it is they want to submit, because they have no where else to go with their ideas…and places for people to offer constructive criticisms. The site is an easy way to get what you want to say, or what you have created, to the masses.
A lot of people here read TAC, if only for one column. It’s just that hardly anyone comments on it. I wish more people would post feedback in our forums, that’s why they’re there and I know, whenever I have written for the site, I like to hear what others have to say.
Smalls, most of what you said is bullshit made only from brief oberservations. Maybe if you weren’t so hard-headed and full of that ‘I’ve Been Posting At VA Longer Than You, So I MUST Know More’-angst that you parade in most of what you say, you’d actually see that a good amount of people like the site, and they have the right to promote it because of that.

Oh, and, Believe me, we have tried and worked on, and drummed for ideas to further ourselves from Poopshoot, and we hope to in the future. The problem with quickly changing styles is that the people who run the Crapper have never met each other, and can only contact one-another via email. Arguments about content put up at the site, ideas for development, and such, are slow, and hardly ever resolved because of this.
