Cube is great. I was surprised by how funny he could be when I saw the first, loved the second, liked the third, but I agree. You're supposed to get better at something the more you do it and while this isn't a bad movie, it's just not what you would expect from a guy who's already kicked ass in two others.
Sequels are supposed to improve on the previous installment. Even "as good as the last" is often considered a failure in today's society. The third has the disadvantage of not being as fresh as the first, as timely as the second or as funny as either.
Thankfully they were both very funny (of course in my opinion) so falling a little bit is still worth a movie ticket when you compare it to some of the crap on the big screen these days.
