the forklift accident in the warehouse, Luis Guzman falling from his chair, Guzman in the background testing the unbreakable plungers...these would all be scenes that would be dramatized and made into comedic sequences in all other comedies, but instead, PTA puts them in the background, like they are in life. Guzman falling out of the chair is something that would happen in real life, and it would be handled the way it was in the movie...with sandler only asking, "you okay?" and then moving on.

all the other aspects of the movie were also great. the organ. the phone call at the parade to his sister where he loses control for a second. emily watson's portrayal of a, ill admit, weak character.

my favorite part of it though, and a reason i think PTA might be becoming better and better as a filmmaker, is that it was 3 hours long...PTA got his point across in a brief 90-some minutes.
