I think the best guideline is that there shouldn't be anything which we can all buy and watch at home-- otherwise, why bother?-- and there probably shouldn't be anything which has already been shown twice. So...
: 1. Jersey Girl - I think the reasons behind this one are obvious
Yup.
: 2. Good Will Hunting - With the pipe dream that Affleck might show up
If Affleck (or Damon) showed up, that'd be great... but otherwise, it seems pointless.
: 3. Chasing Amy - It's still my favorite of the bunch
Nah. We can all watch that whenever we want.
: 4. Dogma (Cannes Cut) - Something different
Ehh. We can't watch that version, but we can watch all of its components... so...
: 5. Malcolm's Documentary - Not the V-thon '98 one, but the more recent documentary that is rumored to be on the Clerks 10th anniversary DVD
That'd be cool.
JERSEY GIRL... NOW YOU KNOW... even though BIG HELIUM DOG has played twice, I guess it's okay so long as it's still not out on DVD-- and if not that, then Angry Naked Pat stuff... perhaps one of those documentaries... and, um, something else. I dunno.
I wonder if it might be a good idea to not hold anything until some more Askew-related people have new films out. Eventually, Vincent'll have a film, Lynch'll have a film, etc. Why rush? I'd rather have a great Vulgarthon every five years than a so-so one every year or two.
