The point is I got to see some meaty dramatic stuff AND a Mayday-like female gladiator get chopped in half in a beautiful blood bath all in one sitting thanks to that movie. The fact that an orgasm of a movie like that can still honestly win Best Picture kind of got me excited about the Academy again.
