: Ok, Come september I'm heading to major in Film, I have seen ALOT of Films, But I havnt seen all of them, Give me your Best top 10 directors that you feel have been Influential in some way or form or have had simply outstanding Films. I'm making a List of Films i need to see by September to be on my Toes...
: Thanks
All I can recommend are-
True stories-david byrne...for how he changes the movie from narration to first person back to narration seamlessly (or so i think) and for the dp who makes almost every scene symetrical (even down to using twins in some scenes).
and Amelie for an unorthodox script that works and the use of different techniques that shouldnt go together but do (like the scene where the camera x-rays her chest to see her heart beating cartoon style,or where the photographs talk to her,it sounds strange but when you see it it makes perfect sense).I'm not a director so my terminology may be 'askew' but i hope this helps and good luck in september.
p.s. watch veronique by patrick bergh (5 min short) the link is below.
