: just to say, fair play to noel, that's some memory he has, then again he alway's came across as a genuine person.
It has recently been said on this board that Kevin has a good memory for those he has met (i.e. lesser mortals)...
: Here is a tale of prodigious memory by a famous personage.
: In 1969 (yes, I am that ancient) I took part in the London 'bridges walk' - sponsored for each of the 19 bridges over the Thames crossed in a 26 mile walk. Those of us who survived were invited to a 'disco' at the Lyceum Ballroom. The guy driving the decks was called Noel Edmonds... I got talking to him... He told me that he would shortly be starting as a DJ with BBC Radio One i.e. national fame would be his. In 1970 Noel Edmonds appeared on BBC radio and went on to have quite a career in radio and TV.
: In 2000 I went to the UK International Motor Show at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham. One of the celebs there that day was... Noel Edmonds. I managed to get to see him.
: "Hello, Noel, remember me?"
: The swine, he did!
: He couldn't remember my name, but he remembered the Bridge Walk Disco at the Lyceum. Almost exactly 31 years. Not bad!
: Anyone else got a similar story?
