What utilities are included usually varries. Most I've seen make you pay electric and phone, and that's about it. Very few allow hook ups for washers and dryers.
That's in Lansing, Michigan. I pay $550 for a two bedroom with a lot of nice benefits, but I also drive in from a small town. I hate city living.
East Lansing is college town and rent usually is calculated with the expectation that 3-4 students live there (meaning they hike it up).
