our company used two real good books with almost
everything you need to know(the rest youll find
out soon enough from experience)are:

Feature Filmaking at Used Car Prices by Rick Schmidt

and

What they dont tell you in film school :161 ways to make
your own movie no matter what.
by two VERY inspirational ladies.
trust me, get these, and enough of your questions will
be anwered to last a good while, and youll feel very full and satisfied. goooooood stuff. And kevins "evening with" just recently helped us get
through a tough time and was a direct inspiration
for several breakthroughs in the film were shooting
now. As a matter of fact, it wouldnt have been
anywhere near as good as its become were it not
for that DVD. and by the way, kevin apparently
used that first book himself, because on the
back it quotes him as saying clerks wouldnt
have been made were it not for that book.
Id love to hear his commentary on that
book sometime, here on the board. id love it to
be in the summaries! hey Askew Guys!
how bout a special section in the summaries
oriented towards filmakers who would
love to interview him, and try to
cover as many bases as possible! maybe even
technical info, and whatnot. i for one would
love to see the full story of how he came
into film making(you cant trust COLLEDGE
STUDENTS to ask the best questions! come on
yall) and the exact sequence he went through
to get his equipment and the progress timeline
wise. i know ours has been an interesting
experience in and of itself, and would have
0 regret, failure or not.
