$2.5 million doesn't sound good at all for a major studio release. Hell, Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back had an opening weekend of $11 million when it came out, and it was hardly the blockbuster hit of 2001. It looks like "A Guy Thing" opened on plenty of screens, too, so that probably means that the movie is already considered a bit of a box office flop.
It's a shame for him. I'm still maintaining that Jason Lee is the best kept fucking secret in Hollywood. Kevin Smith knows this, Cameron Crowe knows this, and eventually everyone will know it, and he won't be our little secret anymore.
