Good lord!! Thats a first for me. I've never heard anything like that before, let alone from an adult. Umm...well, if the girl is pretty cool/nice, i say, just forget about it. It would be a perfect example of how kids are completly different from their parents. But, then again, he dad could fuck up your whole relationship by making her miserable. That would suck. Sorry to bring that up. BUt yea, i say just forget about it. And i'm irish as well, with the last name of O' Brian, so yea, thats fucked up, but if u really like the girl, try not to let it get you down. Best of luck
: I don't know if I should be laughing or be offended. I am/was talking to this girl, her family is from Italy, I'm talking your stereotypical wops. But that's neither here nor there.. I was at her house (sigh) she wanted me to meet her parents, an unavoidable fact when you're dating a 17 year old chick.. No, I'm not a pedo, I'm 18.. But anyway, we were talking and her dad said Shedd, that sounds like it's been changed.. Do you know what it was originaly? I said 'Well, it was originaly O'Shead.. Then shortened to Shead in the late 1860s then changed to Shedd in the early 1900s. He just sort of scofs and says Oh.. You're a mick.. I was a little cought off guard.. I just sort of looked at him and said, "Why yes, and I do like potatoes".. He said, you know Italians hate the Irish.. I just sort of said.. I've heard that, but never really thought about it.. He looked at me, then at his daughter.. said "Well how about you think about this.. Get your drunk, guinness drinking, potatoe eating, mick ass out of my house".. I don't think this was the right way to handle it.. But I laughed.. really hard.. Okay, that made him even more mad.. He looked at Emily, said "Go to your room" then at me.. "and you get the fuck out of my house." I looked at her, kissed her cheek, said "See you tomorow". (I had to say fuck you w/o saying 'fuck you') and then left.. All I heard on my way out is yelling. I honestly don't know how to take it..
