Well your husband is kind of ahead of the game. A supporting wife,
and some of the cast, which is great. From an indie filmmaker, my
advice, (worst vice is advice), he needs to sit down and just write the
script. No one but Kevin Smith can write a KS story, like Coppola, like
Kurosawa, you can aspire to, or be inspired by, but he needs to make
his film. A good goal to have when writing a script is to write a film
you would like to watch. He can only help himself. His inner voice, his
gut instinct, his fearlessness will determine if he has it or not. It's
kinda like The Matrix where surfer boy asks the Oracle if he is "the
one" and she says no b/c if he was the one he would know it.
Everyone can be the one in their mind if they only freed themselves. I
would love to say to you someone will come along, finance his film,
help write his script, help him direct, but the reality is, credits-
mortgage, he will direct and write, b/c honestly that is what it takes.
Any less and filmmaking would lose something. Wish someone
would finance my film...damn LOL. I hear people say all the time i
have a great idea for a script, i hate hearing that....i what to grab them
and scream 'write the script" I think most people hate writing. A good
filmmaker is a writer.

: Hi. My husband has a great idea for a movie. He has the ideas, the
concept, everything but a script. He has plans for the actors and
cameo spots too. He thought of everything but he has no idea where
to start. It is a really good concept and I am really proud of him for
this. He wants it to be a Kevin Smith type movie. Real funny, real
edgy, really good. Something Mr. Smith could be proud to say he was
a great influence for. If anyone has any tips on where he can get
some help, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank
