In one of the easter eggs on the DVD someone asked about the magnoliafan handle in JSBSB and he told the whole story about how he was asked his opinion about Magnolia and it got picked up in the news because it was a slow news day, he guesses, and how he sometimes forgets that there are a lot more people here than there were a few years ago and if you say stuff it gets out.
I had looked at the site before a couple times but I finally decided to take a look at the boards.
