Hello.

I rarely post to this site, as I am WAY too old (47) and I am really on here because my kids love KS and his work so much, but I have also grown to enjoy a lot of his movies and other venues.

Recently I purchased the "Evening with Kevin Smith" DVD for my oldest son, and we were watching it the other night. Mr. Smith talked about several scripts he had been offered (in response to a question about a "Superman" script), and said one of those had been something like "Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian" (I wasn't listening carefully, sorry).

Today, in our local paper, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, I came across a small article about Michael Keaton, who is from the Pittsburgh area. It stated that Mr. Keaton had talked to a Roger Friedman of FoxNews.com and said that he was going to be on a program on HBO, and that a sequel was being written of "Beetlejuice," with Tim Burton producing but not directing.

It made me stop and go "Whoa...Kevin Smith said something about that movie on the DVD we were watching the other night! How freaky is that?"

I checked FoxNews.com, and under "What You Didn't See at the Golden Globes," sure enough, there was the small blip about Mr. Keaton's upcoming HBO appearance and the news about the "Beetlejuice" sequel.

It would have been nice if Mr. Smith were the writer of this movie, but I am really hoping that the great Hollywood people will suddenly recognize Mr. Smith as the extremely talented man he is in his own right; writer, director, actor, human being.

By the way...it was very funny seeing the reporter from E! News Live's face when he asked Mr. Smith and his wife what he (Mr. Smith) was hoping to find at the afterparty they were about to enter (after the Golden Globes award ceremony), and Mr. Smith goes, "Coke and whores." I thought the reporter was going to die right there on the spot!

Mr. Smith, as long as you can make this crabby old woman of 47 laugh, then you are most definitely a special person, and I thank you for that!
