Mel is definitely from the "old school" of comedy. His films have many scenes that are like "musicals" ("I'm Tired", "The Spanish Inquisition", "Men In Tights", etc.). His comedic style is very "Catskills".
Kevin's comedic style is hard to describe, though, and although Mel has been a little racey (at least for his time), talking about sucking 37 dicks or asking "do chicks fart when you blast 'em in the ass?" don't seem like the kinds of jokes that would even enter Mel's head.
Two brilliant filmmakers, to be sure, but I just can't possibly conceptualize what a film would look like coming from a teaming up of Kevin Smith and Mel Brooks.
