: dear kevin,
: If I have overlooked the answer tot his question I apolligize(but I did look before writing). I know that Clerks 2 became Strike Back, my question is...what? How do you change a sequel to a original and satirical film, into a movie about two stoners who kidnapp a monkey and try to stop a moving from being made. Don't get me wrong, I loved Strike Back, I just can't understand how the movie came from clerks 2. I hope you have time to read this, and thank you.

In my own personal opinion-jay and silent bob got a shit load of money thrown at it by a studio that realised (a bit too late) a 'trend' was emerging. What emerged was a cross between 'cannonball run' and 'it's a mad mad world' with a bit of popular culture thrown in.The fact that kevin took a large portion of 'chasing dogma' and put it in the film testify's to the fact that that this was a 'studio' film.In saying that I
have to confess that (all ass kissing aside)It was great to see all my favourite charachters to-gether one last time (brodie, banky, holden, amy, etc.)so on the whole....I loved J&sb strike back and it was a fitting eng to a great series of movies.
