Ahh! I don't really care about little continuity gaffs like that. Kevin has berated himself for stuff like that, particularly on the Clerks commentary, but I don't care. It doesn't detract from my enjoyment of a film.
There have certainly been a few gaffs in Kevin's films. The missing sign on the register in "Clerks", the missing bottle of YooHoo Dante places on the counter in "Clerks". Not a big deal to me at all. I'm well aware that it's just a film, strictly for entertainment purposes. During the scene in "Dogma" when Rufus falls out of the sky naked, every time they cut back to Bethany and Rufus (away from Jay & SB) the sunlight on the street changes constantly. It's bright, it's cloudy, it's bright in places. There's not much you can do about it in an outdoor shoot, though. That's just movies, and I really care about the story and the dialogue TONS more than the visualization of it all.
The funniest continuity gaff I ever saw in a film was in "Swingers" during the scene at the blackjack table. Mike lays down his one hundred dollar bet (one chip) and the dealer deals the cards. Then they show a close up of the six and the five that Mike's been dealt, but it also shows TWO HUNDRED dollars already on the table. Then it cuts to Trent and Mike as Trent tells Mike to double down. But the DOUBLE DOWN BET IS ALREADY ON THE TABLE IN THE PREVIOUS SHOT! But after Mike finally gives in to Trent's argument, we get the shot of the two cards and the original ONE hundred dollar bet as Mike puts the second chip down. It was the most obvious gaff I've ever seen, and I couldn't have cared less as I loved the film.
