Hooking up with a comics distributor would be good. You'll need a loan from the bank to start up the business first, however. But, before you do that, find a nice location for the comic shop you wish to open. Hopefully, there's an empty building that's for sale. Scout for the location before you do anything, and then get your affairs in order & go to the bank you deal most with for a loan. There are several books, as well, that tell you how to start up a business. They're very general, but they can do you a lot of good by giving you pointers (one that I've read gives tips on how to get a loan from the bank and certain steps you need to take in order to get it). Also, one thing you may want to consider is calling up the manager at a comic shop and asking him how they got started, are the part of a chain, if he/she has any tips for you, etc. Go to the source for hints on how to get started.

That's all I can think of right now. Good luck.
