They log the websites you visit using your e-mail and send you e-mails with sender names and titles of the sites you've visited. That's one reason why many people get e-mails from "The VA WWWBoard" and "viewaskew.com" that contain viruses. Just don't open them and delete them as soon as you get them and you should be fine.
