She actually told the story to the press awhile back, and Kevin confirmed it. If I remember correctly, she auditioned, and she was so bad that as she left the place they all laughed out loud.
Kevin talked about it after the news broke and confirmed at least part of the story, although I think he didn't even remember that it was her untile she told the story (maybe on Stern?).
