Linklater is a top director. Love Dazed & Confused, Waking Life is completely inspired, Tape should in theory never be anything other than a stage play, but still works brilliantly on film. Haven't seen Slacker yet, will be getting it in a couple of weeks :)
School of Rock is gonna be an instant classic, love the writer, love the cast, love the director, its all good!
