I enjoyed Vulgar, I was expecting a lot because of the fuckin cool poster the film has and in the end bought it from the stash (which can be quite a bit incl. shipping to UK, so obviously it's a dvd I felt worthy of buying to watch) because if I didn't like it, at least it had the In Defense of Dogma documentary on it which is awesome.

But after watching Vulgar, I have to say it's a good film. Bryan's done a good job and if you see the way it's shot (the opening is similar to Clerks funnily enough, clown getting ready for work, again Brian O Halloran), but look at the way the film is shot man, that's cool, like the way the camera creeps in and closes in on Bryan and Vulgar when they're sitting in the kitchen at the table once Vulgar is rich, that was an awesome shot! The story is overall very different and interesting, I mean disturbing as hell but hey it's a film that pushes boundaries. Performances are good and it's a film that makes its mark as a cutting edge debut because it doesnt in any way look like a debut flick.

If you don't like it that's cool, but don't give up on a company because you didn't like one of their flicks. If that happened with every film then Paramount, Universal and every other major studio would be boycotted by now!

For anyone who hasn't seen Vulgar, pick itup or see it, it's worth it, and if you don't like it, the Dogma doc is wicked yo.
