: Test your knowledge of some things Askew...
: 1. How did RST Video get its name? - No idea. Maybe somebody was reciting the alphabet and stopped at "...r, s, t..."
: 2. What is the name of the cat in Clerks? - Lenin's Tomb
: 3. In Mallrats, what joke (that was cut from the final print) did Kevin have Affleck say as a nod to Affleck's upbringing in Boston? - I don't know. Something about the Red Sox? I know that the New Kids reference when he's fucking Renee is a subtle Boston reference.
: 4. In what mall was Mallrats actually filmed in? - Isn't that the Point Place mall in Minnesota?
: 5. Whose car was the famous Affleck "I love you" scene from Chasing Amy filmed in? - I'll just take a wild guess and say Mosier's.
: 6. What film was the "injury scene" at the Meow Mix an homage to? An "homage" to? No idea. Something to do with "Jaws", I'll bet.
: 7. What was the faux name used for Dogma while filming in Pittsburgh? - God.
: 8. Name five actors that were slated/almost played roles in any of the films (i.e. Seth Green as Jay in Mallrats):
Well, let's see:
The studio wanted Drew Barrymore & David Schwimmer for Chasing Amy. They also mentioned Jennifer Love Hewitt to play Trish in Mallrats. And Breckin Meyer was discussed to play Jay's role in Mallrats.
The funniest to me, though, was Kevin mulling over the idea of casting John Favreau and Vince Vaughan to play the parts of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back". That would've been hilarious! I would've really enjoyed that.
I believe that's six.
