Sorry, man, but as has already been pointed out, you cannot ask for a job on the boards. And I'm not sure about Mr. Smith's hiring practices, but I'm fairly sure that calling his office out of the blue and begging for a job will get you nowhere.
If you really want to be in his movies, then here's a couple ways to go about it:
1) Get an agent, take some other acting gigs, and keep your ears to the ground for an open casting call Mr. Smith puts out so you can get your agent to arrange an audition (it might be awhile, though, since he just wrapped a movie and his next project is supposedly the Clerks animated film).
2) Wait until he puts out a call for extras and go out to where they are shooting. It's pretty much a lock that you'll at least appear in the film, although you probably won't get any speaking roles.
Other than that, you're best bet is to not inundate his office with phone calls, plead with him for a job on the boards, and otherwise making a general nuissance of yourself.
