If the guy is bringing attention to the fact that he is signing them than you should be able to figure out that he is 'working' on them. And by working I mean not only signing them but personalizing them as well, as it stated in the message.
He made a joke about it because that was a good way to let everyone knows he is working on them.
The man is busy, we all know it, and he is also a man of his word. Give him the time, and he is going to make it up to you. Now, I could get into the whole thing being a fan and seeing that flick about five times that weekend, but did I send ticket stubs in....no, why? Well, the reason why is because I went to that movie to watch a fun movie, NOT get a poster out of it.
He already gave you something jackass, he gave you a whole movie of dick and fart jokes. The whole thing was about the two characters you are never going to let go of, isn't that thanks enough?
