: Supposedly Mallrats happened a day after Clerks (chronologically), but there is a scene in Clerks where Randal is explaining to Dante that the girl died "yesterday" and that the wake was today "one time only". In the opening scene of Mallrats Brandi tells T.S. that the girl "died in a pool last night" from an embalism. From these conversations the audience gets the idea it is the same day. Furthermore if it is on the same day how are Jay and Silent Bob in 2 places at once?
