My name is Lyndon Farley and I am a 30 year old television production student at a small community college in Alvin, Tx. It's a small town south of Houston. Unfortunately I have been what many would call poor white trash my whole life. So it took me until age 30 to get to college. I wanted to go to film school, but cannot for 2 reasons. 1. I am poor but not discouraged. 2. We have shit for film industry in Texas including schooling. So I went to school for Television production to get access to editing equipment and camera's for free. Not film school and i have to shoot with S-VHS, but that's ok. It's a start. I know this is more than a simple question, but I have wanted to write you for years just didn't know if you actually read any of your letters or email or if you had people for that. I'm trying to start a small Independent Movie company called "TwysteD Pictures" and just wanted to tell you following your carrier since the day Clerks hit video stores you have been like a hero to me. I was a Tattoo Artist for 8 years and I am trying to write a comedy about the insanities that go on in a tattoo shop. My wife thinks I'm crazy wanting to start my own film company without film school experience. But I believe if you try hard enough and want something bad enough you can do it. Well, I'm sure you're tire of this so I'll ask my question. In one sentence what would be the most important advice you can give me. Hope to get a responce. Keep up the great work. I am a fan of your movies, but more of you and your character not Silent Bob(Bob's great)but I mean your personal and professional character.
By the way one of my favorite scene's in your movies is when you and Jay are standing in front of the store on J&SB Strike Back and Jay ask's the girl walking by if she's ever had her asshole licked by a fat man in an overcoat. God That was funny as hell. Who came up with that line?
