Is when you watch those National Geographic shows where they show how piercings are done in tribal Africa where the ear lobe has a huge hole in it and pratically touching the ground. The size and weight of their piercings were huge. Scary and probably painful as heck.
One fad I remember..."ear humper"..where it was this silver character you put in around the edge of your outer ear.
