Beinbg UK based, i tend to have mainly only encountered UK celebs.... desperately trying to think of UK type celebs that you Yanks might have heard of...
Tom Jones: I met him at the BBC TV Centre in January 1971 and I thought - what a struck up prig! Having seen him again more recently... well, sheer endurance seems to have turned him into a much nicer person.
Rolf Harris: an all round genuine nice guy and a really talented artist to boot. (Does a lot of good work for charity and doesn't ever mention it.)
