...well when I was looking for some of those mooby posters that were in the office in Dogma (I need them for... something I'm working on) I noticed that the Clerks sitcom pilot was on an old auction back when Auctions Askew was still EJay, and it got me thinking about it, how good could a Clerks based sitcom be really, the great thing about Clerks was it's ability to pick apart pop culture in long monolouges, while still being hilarious and entertaining, but wouldn't that be self defeating for a television show? What would be the tagline? "Indipendent film goes mainstream"?
Also, the chemistry in Clerks just *worked*, I can't imagine a Randal not played by Jeff Anderson, or anyone being able to pull off that "I'm not even supposed to be here today!" whine like Brian O'Halloran.
In any case, with the exception to the three or four people that have actually seen it, it'll never see the light of day. One would have to wonder whether or not this is really so bad.
